Answers to common family and estate questions.

We complete an intake, confirm whether there are any urgent issues, and identify what documents are needed. If we can assist, we outline scope and next steps and move into either negotiation/settlement planning or court planning, depending on your situation.

Common starting documents include proof of income (tax returns/NOAs/pay stubs), details about children’s schedules and care, any existing agreements or court orders, and key communications. We provide a targeted checklist once we understand your issues.

We set priorities early, focus on proportional steps, and avoid unnecessary correspondence or motions. We also keep you informed before major steps are taken so you can make cost-aware decisions.

We set expectations early about communication and timing. You will receive clear updates on key milestones, what we need from you, and what happens next.

Depending on the service, fees may be hourly or flat fee. We aim to use a cost-conscious, proportional approach and will explain the fee structure before we begin.

In appropriate cases, we may assist with specific tasks such as document drafting, agreement review, or coaching for a particular step—without taking full carriage of the file. We’ll confirm scope in writing.
